Come to the Open House event for the Freight Depot which houses the Dalton Convention and Visitors Bureau as well as the Downtown Development Authority on November 7th, 2009. Hot dogs, popcorn and drinks will be served and the offices will be open to the public for viewing. We are located at 305 S. Depot St., Dalton, GA and the hours of this event will be from 11 am to 3 pm. See you there!

SPA Ladies Breakfast September 17th

The SPA Ladie's Breakfast will be this Thursday, September 17th at the Oakwood Cafe in Downtown Dalton. The breakfast will be at 8am. The free shuttle will begin pick ups at the hotels at 7am. To get to the Oakwood, go east on Walnut Avenue to Thornton Ave. Turn left on Thornton. Turn right on Cuyler St. The Oakwood is one block on the right.

Creative Arts Guild Festival

There will be a free arts festival at the Creative Arts Guild this weekend, Saturday September 15th and Sunday September 16th from 11am to 5pm. The shuttle will be running to and from the hotels. The address to the Creative Arts Guild is 520 W Waugh St. Hope to see you there!!

Tunnel Hill Arts and Crafts Show

Freeman Springs Farm

The 200 acre Freeman Springs Farm is now open in Rocky Face, Georgia! Only about 20 minutes from where you'll be staying! There is much to do at the farm, including a Corn Maze, Hay Maze, Hay Rides and even a Pumpkin Patch!

The Dalton CVB will even provide shuttle trips to the farm!

This would be a great place to stop in and visit during your stay in Dalton!

Balloons and Tunes

A "Balloons and Tunes" festival will be held in Rock Spring, Ga on September 18-20!
The festival is the first of its kind in Walker County and will include 10 hot air balloons, live music each day and a light show on September 19. Short rides for visitors in the hot air balloons will be offered for $10 or $15. Come out and enjoy the sights and sounds the weekend of the 18-20. Check back for more updates about the festival!
