Freight Depot Open House!

Come to the Open House event for the Freight Depot which houses the Dalton Convention and Visitors Bureau as well as the Downtown Development Authority on November 7th, 2009. Hot dogs, popcorn and drinks will be served and the offices will be open to the public for viewing. We are located at 305 S. Depot St., Dalton, GA and the hours of this event will be from 11 am to 3 pm. See you there!

SPA Ladies Breakfast September 17th

The SPA Ladie's Breakfast will be this Thursday, September 17th at the Oakwood Cafe in Downtown Dalton. The breakfast will be at 8am. The free shuttle will begin pick ups at the hotels at 7am. To get to the Oakwood, go east on Walnut Avenue to Thornton Ave. Turn left on Thornton. Turn right on Cuyler St. The Oakwood is one block on the right.

Creative Arts Guild Festival

There will be a free arts festival at the Creative Arts Guild this weekend, Saturday September 15th and Sunday September 16th from 11am to 5pm. The shuttle will be running to and from the hotels. The address to the Creative Arts Guild is 520 W Waugh St. Hope to see you there!!

Tunnel Hill Arts and Crafts Show

There will be a free arts and crafts show at the Tunnel Hill Heritage Center this week. Hours are 9am to 5 pm Monday, September 7th through Saturday, September 12th.

SPA Ladie's Breakfast

We will be offering free trolley rides to the SPA ladie's breakfast at the Dalton Depot on Thursday, September 10th! The trolley will begin pick up at 7:00am. We will then be offering rides to Heritage Point afterwards. We look forward to seeing you soon, ladies!!

Arts and Crafts Expo

There will be an arts and crafts expo at Walnut Square Mall in Dalton on Friday, September 18th and Saturday, September 19th from 10am to 6pm! Admission is FREE. Come get a taste of Northwest Georgia's local and regional artists! For more information, visit www.walnutsquaremall.com!

Dalton Pro Rodeo!

The Dalton Pro Rodeo will be Friday and Saturday, September 11th and 12th at the North Georgia Fairgrounds right here in Dalton!! There will be concessions and vendors and the proceeds benefit a local Charity! If you are in Dalton on this weekend, come out and enjoy a fun evening of Rodeo riding!!

Freeman Springs Farm

SPA Ladies,

The 200 acre Freeman Springs Farm is now open in Rocky Face, Georgia! Only about 20 minutes from where you'll be staying! There is much to do at the farm, including a Corn Maze, Hay Maze, Hay Rides and even a Pumpkin Patch!

The Dalton CVB will even provide shuttle trips to the farm!

This would be a great place to stop in and visit during your stay in Dalton!

Trolley Service for SPA!

Though the Trolley will not be able to take you to the Ladies' Breakfast on Thursday morning, it will be running in the evenings to your hotels and to Heritage Point, as well as the rest of the points on the usual route! Please take advantage of our free trolley!!

Gallery Hop on Friday, September 4th!!

Join us for a free gallery hop throughout Dalton from 5 to 8 pm! There will be a free shuttle service between the hotels and the galleries! All you have to do is get on and enjoy!! There will be tons of art by local artists to admire, as well as live entertainment!

Balloons and Tunes

A "Balloons and Tunes" festival will be held in Rock Spring, Ga on September 18-20!
The festival is the first of its kind in Walker County and will include 10 hot air balloons, live music each day and a light show on September 19. Short rides for visitors in the hot air balloons will be offered for $10 or $15. Come out and enjoy the sights and sounds the weekend of the 18-20. Check back for more updates about the festival!
